Toby is the Founder and Managing Director of Lumin Insurance Solutions.

Prior to founding Lumin Insurance Solutions, Toby spent the previous six years helping grow and develop a boutique Insurance Brokerage that became a market leader for Key Person Insurance, Share Purchase Insurance and IHT mitigation.

Toby’s particular specialism is working with Private Equity firms, Hedge Funds, Asset Managers and SMEs to insure their key people.

Toby started his career as a British Army Officer (Coldstream Guards). He served for nine years, including operational tours to Afghanistan and Iraq.
Toby has a degree in Business Management from Birmingham University as well as being a graduate from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Martin started his career over 30 years ago as a financial adviser with a large insurance company, and founded the current company based on referrals and recommendations from satisfied clients and professional connections.

He realised early on that as well as excellent customer service, technical expertise is essential. Throughout his career, he has continued to update his qualifications and became one of the first Chartered Financial Planners in the UK. He has since gone on to achieve Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS).

Mandy’s primary role is delivering an efficient, all-in-one service to Lumin Insurance clients.

Mandy has 25 years’ experience in client services background including a role with Barclays Private Bank and the Barclays Head Office events team. She has been an employee of Lumin Wealth Management for 14 years and has acquired valued experience and knowledge around financial services. Mandy is very dedicated and committed to improving her skills and knowledge.

George acts as an advisor to the Board, coaching the COO, assisting with acquisitions and governance.

George qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a major professional service company and worked as a Director in their corporate finance team.

In 2006 he joined a mid-market Private Equity fund where he worked for 10 years investing in UK services businesses.

Tiffany works closely with the COO and Managing Directors in matters relating to Human Resources, Compliance, and Business Acquisitions.  

Tiffany has several years’ experience working in start-up companies, including wealth management firms, around the United States in various roles from Executive Assistant to Operations Manager.

Tiffany graduated magna cum laude from Texas State University’s McCoy College of Business with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Management and Human Resources.

John manages business development and is very hands on with the investment side of the business.

He has over 15 years’ experience in fixed income markets, equity markets, hedge funds and private equity. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG before moving to UBS, and then took the role of Managing Director at Dresdner Bank, London in 1998. John was part of the private equity group that acquired Pearl Group Limited in December 2004 and held a number of senior directorial posts in that business.

Whilst at Pearl Group, John founded Axial Investment Management Limited which managed in excess of £4bn of insurance company and pension fund assets. John held the positions of CEO, CIO and CFO at various times within Axial.
